As a team, we are committed to providing positive guidance and support to students who are at risk of permanent exclusion, at risk of disengaging from mainstream education or at risk of becoming involved with the youth criminal justice system. Our one-on-one mentors have experience, aptitude, and trained diligently to understand trauma and use evidence-based interventions.

OUR APPROACH

Our unique approach to mentoring is built on the understanding that every young person's, needs ,wishes and goals are unique. Given this, prior to any engagement, a needs analysis coupled with interests and needs is conducted at the time of referral to match the most compatible mentor with the referred young person. Based on these assessments, mentoring plans are created through a key consultation process with schools and all other professionals, where key mentoring goals and targets are planned out and then delivered by trained one to one mentors. We only provide the most appropriate mentor with the skills and attributes that perfectly match student's diverse needs ,interests, and aspirations.

Working collaboratively with local authorities, schools, parents and all other professionals ,our one-on-one mentors work with students, building relationships, addressing underlying emotional and behavioural needs, teaching self-regulation strategies, building self-esteem ,resilience and coping skills, addressing the underlying causes of disengagement with education and helping students transition back into their mainstream education. Regular reviews are conducted to ensure alignment between our support and student's current and future needs and goals.

All our staff have an Enhanced DBS,fully vetted through robust safer recruitment processes before any placement or commencing any work.

We work in partnership with Special Schools,SEN provisions within mainstream schools,Specialist Colleges,Post-16 settings,Pupil Referral Units(PRUs),Alternative Provision (AP),Local Authorities,Early years settings,Children' Residential settings and all other related settings across the UK
